So close, I can almost taste the tire smoke in the air... Who's going?

A couple of friends and I got free tickets to sat qualifying. That's where I'll be.

Me! With Mrs. addiction. Did you find another meet-up thread anywhere?

Other than the Official Jalopnik meet-up ? No, I haven't.

I saw that, but doubt we'll get out there, as we'll be rolling in late Friday night (and we're staying with my brother and his family).

Well dang. Last year they had Cars & Coffee that weekend. It'd be cool to do a Jalop C&C Saturday morning or something for everyone that drove in. Or at least park in the same lots at the track.

Yeah, that'd be fun. I rode the shuttle in two years ago - would you recommend just driving out and finding a place to pay to park?

I'd recommend you try and score a parking pass from a scalper of something. Parking close in to the track is the smartest buy of the whole weekend. I've had friends take the shuttle and they regret not buying a pass. Definitely try to find one of park and walk in. Are you going all 3 days?

Yeah, definitely think it's worth it. Seems like there are plenty of private fields that are selling spots in addition to the official lots. I'll be out there Saturday and Sunday.

It'll be cheaper Saturday than on Sunday. I don't remember how much people were charging to park on their private lots but I did like the fact that 1/2 of them had taco trucks on them too. Can't beat that.
